Coffee Cup Verse

I've been reading Proverbs lately and here's one of the ones I underlined in my Biblia.

Proverbs 8:13
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way,

And the perverted mouth, I hate.

Marlene,
When I read this verse, it really made me think about how I'm suppose to look at my own sin as well. Am I grieved about my own sin? The Lord is good. He is working on this...
Blessings,
Karen

I've been seeing more and more of my life in light of pride. It disturbs me terribly, but also takes me back to the feet of my Savior. I agree, the Lord is good. And I am glad that He is patient with a self-absorbed girl... changing her focus with gentle hands unto Himself!

Marlene,
Have you read CJ's book, Humility: True Greatness? It is really good. I came away encouraged that even though this will be an on-going battle, that the Lord already "knew me" so completely and still causes "goodness and mercy to follow me all the days of my life" :o)
He amazes me by His never-ending love...

Got it on my night stand. I sadly have done a lot less reading lately because I've been staying in the garden til past 10 pm. we're so far north that the sun isn't gone until almost 10:30 these days and with the boys in bed, it's probably my most profitable working time in the yard.

But hopefully I'll crack it soon. My hubby just finished it last week and said it was a good book
